Most of the coverage of this summer's record Cyclospora season has focused on one outbreak: the shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell locations in five states. The federal investigation table tells a wider story.
As of its July 22 update, the FDA's CORE Network outbreak table lists six open Cyclospora investigations. Only one of them, the iceberg lettuce outbreak logged as reference 1390, has an identified product. The other five are recorded as "not yet identified."
