A much-loved Edinburgh cafe has been broken into as youths were captured on CCTV.
Laila Lunch and Brunch is a solid favourite for many on Cockburn Street and after the success of their first cafe, the owners opened up a second eatery in the New Town.
However, at around 3am on Thursday, May 4, the owner was alerted that a group of youths had smashed the door.

CCTV shows two people stealing bottles of wine after breaking through the entrance and according to the owner, "causing thousands of pounds worth of damage, for a couple of bottles of open wine."
Laila's is known for its pink exterior that is nestled on Cockburn Street and is known for being an 'Instagrammable' spot, but sadly the front door has been badly damaged.
The wrecked door shows how the group broke in with the door frame broken and the glass smashed.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
