FC Barcelona has made the decision that Vitor Roque will be leaving the club next season, as reported by the popular Carrusel Deportivo radio program Que Thi Jugues, citing anonymous sources. Roque, a Brazilian player, was signed as part of an agreement with Athletic Paranaense for a potential fee exceeding $60 million, contingent on meeting certain performance targets.

However, under the current management of head coach Xavi Hernandez, Roque has had limited playing time, with only two starts in 13 appearances and two goals scored since his arrival in Spain in early 2024. Recent reports suggest that Roque may be loaned out to gain more experience, a move that has been confirmed by Que Thi Jugues, stating that Barcelona intends to send him out on loan next season.

Roque was registered in January due to an injury that freed up space on the team's salary cap. The club does not plan to register him for the 2024/2025 season, aiming to create more financial flexibility under Financial Fair Play regulations.

Roque's agent has expressed reluctance towards a loan move, preferring a permanent transfer if Barcelona decides he cannot stay. The agent emphasized the importance of securing a stable career path for the player and mentioned that several teams have shown interest in acquiring Roque.

Considering Barcelona's financial situation, selling Roque for a profit could be beneficial for the club. The player's camp is determined to find a suitable solution that aligns with Roque's career aspirations, whether it involves staying at Barcelona or moving to another club through a transfer.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how Barcelona will navigate Roque's future and whether a transfer or loan move will be the ultimate outcome for the talented young forward.
