In the previous season, he scored seven goals and provided 10 assists in the Ghana Premier League, in addition to scoring four goals in five FA Cup matches. He was a key player in Ghana's U20 team's gold medal win at the African Games.
Having joined Dreams FC in 2022 from the youth ranks, Issah's move to FC Barcelona is considered a significant milestone for the Ghanaian club.
