Fatcat ex-Shell boss handed huge £10m pay packet - as Brits struggle to pay energy bills

Shell van Beurden Global Witness Wael Sawan United Kingdom

Former Shell boss Ben Van Beurden was paid £9.7 million by the oil giant last year.

That is over £3million more than in 2021 when the Dutchman took home a total remuneration of £6.3million.

According to Shell's annual report, his bonus rose from £2.2million in 2021 to £2.6million in 2022.
