A weight loss supplement that federal testing found to contain a prescription antidepressant in its morning pills and an industrial chemical in its evening pills has now been formally recalled by the company that distributed it.
Ana Salazar Modela Tu Cuerpo Inc., based in Davie, Florida, announced the recall on August 27 after an FDA analysis found the product tainted with undeclared fluoxetine in the daytime tablets and undeclared 2,4-dinitrophenol, known as DNP, in the nighttime tablets. Neither ingredient appears on the label.
