Knowledge is power and the greatest asset you can acquire in order to compete for a fantasy football championship.
Here's your 2022 preview of the Seattle Seahawks, the eighth of 32 team profiles during draft season:
— 2022 Fantasy MVP: Rashaad Penny, RB
Pete Carroll wants to run the football ... a lot. So much, in fact, he traded away an All-Pro quarterback so he wouldn't even be tempted by the forward pass. Penny (ADP: 81) will be the beneficiary of Carroll's obsession after his strong finish to last season — the former San Diego State Aztec was fantasy's RB1 the final six weeks of 2021.
— 2022 Fantasy Sleeper: Noah Fant, TE
If you pass on the first-tier options at the position, Fant (ADP: 153) deserves to be a target in the later rounds. He'll especially get a boost if Drew Lock ends up winning the quarterback battle or starts at some point this season.
— 2022 Fantasy Bust: DK Metcalf, WR
Metcalf (ADP: 48) is talented enough to go off at any moment, but this quarterback situation isn't good. Most weeks, starting him will be like scratching a lottery ticket. I actually believe there's more value in drafting Tyler Lockett (ADP: 91), who had a higher target share — 32% vs. Metcalf's 25% — during Geno Smith's three starts last season. Also, Lockett could still be rescued off this island via a mid-season trade.
— 2022 Fantasy Rookie to watch: Kenneth Walker III, RB
First, we found out Walker (ADP: 87) was dealing with a hernia injury. Now the 41st overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft is having a "procedure" possibly unrelated to the hernia issue. It sounds like he has a shot to be ready for the beginning of the season, but any time missed for a rookie is usually a hindrance when it comes to playing time early on. If healthy, Walker will likely have value this season.
