Knowledge is power and the greatest asset you can acquire in order to compete for a fantasy football championship.
Here's your 2022 preview of the Indianapolis Colts, the 10th of 32 team profiles during draft season:
— 2022 Fantasy MVP: Jonathan Taylor, RB
If you're not taking Taylor (ADP: 1) first overall, you're taking Christian McCaffrey (injury-prone), Austin Ekeler (potential touchdown regression) or Cooper Kupp (following up historic season). I'm taking Taylor. He had at least 114 total yards and a touchdown in 12 of the last 14 games in 2021. Plus, there's a chance we haven't seen his ceiling since he's only 23 years old.
— 2022 Fantasy Sleeper: Matt Ryan, QB
A Ryan (ADP: 150) renaissance isn't out of the question. The 2016 MVP is playing behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. He has the best running back in the league to keep opposing defenses honest, and multiple playmakers at every skill position. Ryan is currently being drafted as a QB22, but that would mean he's having a career-worst season, and that isn't happening. There's QB12 upside here if everything comes together.
— 2022 Fantasy Bust: Parris Campbell, WR
Campbell (ADP: 224) is essentially free in most drafts, so that isn't the reason I'm including him here. If I could guarantee his health, I'd have him as my sleeper pick, because his skill set dovetails perfectly with Ryan's strengths. Alas, he's only played 15 games (eight starts) in his three seasons as a pro.
— 2022 Fantasy Rookie to watch: Alec Pierce, WR
Pierce (ADP: 172) will likely replace T.Y. Hilton as Indianapolis' field-stretcher. The 53rd overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft features an impressive combination of size (6-foot-3, 211 pounds) and explosiveness. He'll start the season with boom-or-bust flex potential on a weekly basis.
