Blue Ivy Carter has been hailed as Beyonce’s mini-me in a recent video taken at the singer’s worldwide Renaissance Tour.
Beyoncé kicked off her first solo tour since 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden on Wednesday 10 May. In a video from opening night of her Renaissance Tour, the Grammy winner’s 11-year-old daughter is seen standing next to her father, Jay-Z, as they watched Beyoncé perform onstage.
“Manager Ivy was there to make sure everything was running smooth,” one fan jokingly captioned the clip of Blue Ivy, which showed her dressed casually in a black T-shirt with long black braids and hoop earrings.
The video, which was re-posted to Twitter, instantly went viral with more than 1m views. Many fans in the comments were shocked at how much Blue Ivy has grown over the years, while others couldn’t help but point out how similar she looks to her famous mom.
“Her little side profile just screams mini Bey,” wrote one Twitter user.
“lord she her momma twin its INSANE,” another person said.
“Beyoncé genes really did numbers here,” one user wrote, while another tweeted: “Wow she’s starting to look like her mother”
This isn’t the first time Blue Ivy has been compared to Beyoncé. Last year, the eldest daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z sat front-row at the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics NBA playoff game with her dad. The father-daughter duo appeared on the jumbotron screen, where Blue Ivy was seen wearing a black leather jacket over a black T-shirt, along with sunglasses, joggers, and black-and-white Nike sneakers.
Social media users instantly noticed the resemblance between Blue Ivy and Beyoncé, as fans posted side-by-side photos of the then-10-year-old and an image of Beyoncé from 2007.
Blue Ivy Carter is the eldest daughter of Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter). The couple were married in 2008, and welcomed their first child in January 2012. The two are also parents to five-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir Carter.
Beyoncé and Blue Ivy have shared many sweet mother-daughter moments over the years. In 2020, the “Crazy In Love” singer classically embarrassed her daughter when she cracked a joke about Snoop Dogg that made Blue Ivy cringe.
“Why does Snoop Dogg need an umbrella?” she asked in a deep voice. Her daughter chimed in, “No, no, that voice,” as she tried to cover her mother’s mouth. “No. Mom, the voice, no. NO! NO!”
“Fo’ drizzle,” Beyoncé said smiling, playing on the rapper’s famous catchphrase, “Fo’ shizzle, my nizzle”.
