Twitter users have criticised Oprah Winfrey following a comment she made about the royal family during a public appearance. While attending the 2022 Toronto Fil Festival, Oprah stated that she hoped The Queen's death will provide "an opportunity for peacemaking" among the family.
The American actress and talk show host's interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2021 caused controversy after the couple made a series of headline-grabbing claims. During her recent appearance, she was asked about the recent reunion of Harry and Meghan with the Prince and Princess of Wales, reports Daily Record.
“My father passed recently, this summer,” she told US outlet Extra. “When all families come together for a common ceremony, the ritual of, you know, burying your dead, there’s an opportunity for peacemaking. And hopefully, there will be that.”
