Fans react after No. 4 Tennessee falls apart vs Arkansas

Alabama wasn’t the only team to suffer a brutal upset loss this week. There were several high-profile upsets from this week, and the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers became a victim of one of them, dropping to the unranked Arkansas Razorbacks 19-14.

Early on, it looked like Tennessee was going to cruise to an unimpressive win, leading 14-3 in the middle of the 3rd quarter. However, Tennessee punted on each of their next four drives, while Arkansas scored 16 unanswered, including the go-ahead touchdown with 1:17 left in the fourth. Tennessee made it all the way to Arkansas’ 20-yard line, before quarterback Nico Iamaleava ran out of bounds as time expired.

Nico Iamaleava was terrible in this game, totaling just 154 yards on 29 attempts for a QB rating of 39.5. The running game was the only source of points on offense, with two touchdowns and 174 yards on 36 total attempts.

Meanwhile, Arkansas’ Taylen Green was great, with 266 yards on 27 attempts, but he left the game with a lower-body injury, leaving backup Malachi Singleton to lead the Razorbacks to pay dirt. That’s exactly what he did, leading them on a 4-play, 59-yard drive, capped off by his own running touchdown.

This is the first week in college football history where two SEC teams ranked in the top five lost in the same week. Both the Alabama and Tennessee losses give Georgia a better chance to make the SEC championship.

Here are some of the top fan reactions on social media after the game:
