Outlander producers have left fans emotional after releasing the upcoming episode titles.
The final season of the time-travelling drama is almost upon us and on Monday, the official Outlander Instagram reminded fans that the show was coming to a much-dreaded end.
Sharing the short clip to Instagram, @outlander_starz wrote: "Already emotional about some of these upcoming episode titles." Alongside a sad face emoji.
The titles included 'Episode 701: A Well Lost', 'Episode 702: The Happiest Place On Earth', 'Episode 703: Death Be Not Proud', 'Episode 704: A Most Uncomfortable Woman', 'Episode 705: Singapore', 'Episode 706: Where The Waters Meet', 'Episode 707: A Practical Guide For Time-Travelers' and 'Episode 708: Turning Points.'
The cryptic video tugged on many fans heartstrings, with @sassenachhistorian writing: "My tears are filled with conspiracies"
And @curls_and_curves34 writing: "Secretly hoped the titles would keep scrolling pass episode 8"
@outlander_portugal chimed: "Can't Wait!!! Am I the only one who already imagine the episodes in my head???"
@andreajustine joked: "Manifesting 702 being Jamie and Claire eating churros at Disneyland"
However, some fans were unhappy with the update. With many believing the season should not be split.
@akpecardo said: "It’s sad how much this has been drawn out :( it was good for so long and then it just fizzled:( to much time in between and the story line to much is not as passionate as it was originally"
@nanahuth5 said: "While I am really excited about finally getting to see the start of S7, I think Starz is doing their customers a huge disservice by only releasing half of the episodes. SHAME on you!"
@ledfut40 wrote: "This saddens me. We’ve waited for so long for this moment. Unfortunately with what’s going on in the world right now this just isn’t important to me anymore. If you would have posted this a year ago I would have been exctatic!!!!!! I’ve been a huge fan of Outlander since 2014. From the beginning. The waiting has taken a toll on me."
Starz announced in March that the seventh season of Outlander will premiere on June 16.
The news came with an unexpected additional tidbit, which is that the expanded seventh season, 16 episodes in total, will now be split into two parts with eight episodes each.
The back half of the episodes won't air until 2024.
Outlander series 1-6 are available to stream on LIONSGATE+ in the UK.
