After months of speculation, Molly-Mae Hague has finally revealed the beautiful name she and Tommy Fury picked out for their newborn daughter. But now the doting mum has shared the little one's moniker, there's a new question on everyone's lips.
Namely, how will the youngster find growing up with the unusual choice?
The proud parents, both 23, welcomed their baby girl, Bambi, on January 23. While the unique name won't come as a surprise to many fans, who expected a Disney-inspired pick, lots of people have been questioning just how practical the name is.
Former Love Island star, Molly, confirmed her first-born child's name by sharing a sweet snap on Instagram on Tuesday. The photo showed her newborn daughter laying in a see-through cot in her nursery, below a neon sign with her name on it. In response, social media users were quick to share their delight at the young family's happiness, but several also debated their pick.
One Twitter user thought: "Molly mae is the prime example of 'Remember you are naming an adult human not a baby' like poor Bambi is gunna have to go to Starbucks or into an interview or apply for a mortgage one day with that name."
A second said: "Nah I'm sorry, Molly Mae and Tommy calling her Bambi? Call your kid what you want but can you imagine 40 year old Bambi? Babies are babies for such a short time but adults for so long." And another questioned: "A second said: "Bambi is such a cute name for a kid but not an adult who is gonna have to live with that name through work and life. Also Bambi Fury? did nobody think this through?"
However, other Twitter users loved the name. "People who laugh at molly mae naming her daughter Bambi simply don't get it. I understand her," read one such reply. Another fan said: "Awww molly mae & Tommy have called their little girl "bambi" I love it, such a cute name." A third added: "Bambi is such a cute name, I’m so happy for Molly Mae and Tommy."
Speaking about the name previously, Molly-Mae revealed she loved the pick but knew that not everyone would like it. She said: "It's not made up, it's totally not made up, I can't explain it. It's just not a name that's ever been used before. It's very very different and rare and you're either going to love it or hate it.
"I've had the name picked out since I was a baby girl myself. It's always been a dream baby girl name and luckily when I met Tommy and I told him the name I've always dreamt of using, he absolutely loved it too.
"It's a really really unusual and a different name, I do not know anybody else with the name. I've not seen any other girls with the name before, it's that different."
