Football fans are questioning why the final of the Africa Cup of Nations was on BBC Three and not on mainstream TV.
The major final - which ended up with Senegal beating Egypt 4-2 on penalties in Cameroon after a goalless 90 minutes and extra-time - was shown on the newly relaunched broadcast channel on Sunday (February 6).
Many players from the Premier League played in the competition, including Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who played in the final for Egypt and Senegal respectively.
Twitter user Emlyn Akoto-Dwemoh said: "Just realised the final is on BBC Three. Disappointing. #AFCON will get the respect it deserves as a footballing tournament one day."
Also on twitter, @Music4thePeeps said: "Absolute joke that you're not showing AFCON final on BBC 1 or 2... Clearly African sports are less important compared to other events."
While @m_smith8_ wrote: "AFCON is easily one of the best tournaments going and definitely one of my favourites. Everything about it is beautiful and colourful and incredible. I love this tournament and deserves so much more attention and respect."
In re-launching BBC Three last week, the BBC said that sport as well as comedy and drama was key to the growth of the channel.
It is also understood that AFCON games have been performing well on iPlayer.
