Fanning ditches crutches to guide WA to Shield win

Injured Western Australia opener Sam Fanning has ditched the crutches and crab walked his team to a thrilling two-wicket Sheffield Shield win over Queensland at the WACA Ground.

Needing 201 for victory, WA were struggling at 8-161 early on Sunday when Fanning limped his way to the crease nursing the hamstring injury which had put him on crutches just a day earlier.
