The Broncos‘ 2023 season has been a house of horrors for fans who have dared to watch.
A 1–5 start doesn't figure to improve much over the next 11 games. Coach Sean Payton is being pummeled by analysts when he’s not ripping himself. Quarterback Russell Wilson continues a steep decline. And the roster is being stripped for parts.
However, the Broncos' ineptitude inspired creativity in one football fan. Perhaps it was meant to trigger laughter so crying could be avoided. Regardless, highlighting the many embarrassments of the season thus far has resulted in a brilliant, yet cold-blooded Halloween display for neighbors and social media followers. Check it out:

The display probably could've stopped with the hand-scrawled "Broncos Watch Party" sign and been a success. Thankfully, this fan pushed the joke much further, adding a skeleton covering its eyes, another vomiting (a very nice touch), a reminder of Denver's humiliating 70–20 loss to the Dolphins and tombstones noting many hopes that have died.
The video posted to X (formerly Twitter) has drawn nearly one million views as of this writing, so it's going viral. That is another scare worth savoring in this excellent display of Halloween revelry and football fandom.
