Family's Christmas Day 'ruined' as they leave pub unfed after long wait for table

A family looking forward to their Christmas Day dinner at a gastropub were left disappointed after waiting an hour for a table.

They said their "Christmas Day was ruined" as they gave up waiting and left the restaurant - only to travel home and eat spuds.

One family member, who goes under the username roff, posted about the experience on TripAdvisor.
