Falls Creek battle rages between alpine board and skiers over snow-clearing

A battle is being waged over a snow-clearing proposal at Falls Creek in Alpine Victoria with the head of a cross-country skiing group receiving legal cease and desist letters over the issue.

Skiing groups say cross-country skiing areas will be destroyed if Falls Creek Alpine Resort Management Board is allowed to clear a 1.2-kilometre section of the Bogong High Plains Road from Windy Corner to the observation deck of the area's Lakeside precinct.
