Just a week after Jodie Whittaker bowed out of Doctor Who with a spectacular regeneration, the show has announced a crossover event with Fall Guys, happening this week. The game is currently in the midst of a Halloween event, and what better way to follow that up than with a show notorious for making kids hide behind the sofa?
This isn’t the first time Doctor Who has had skins in high-profile video games, as the TARDIS and several unique adventures were available in Fortnite Creative back in March 2022. Fall Guys is also no stranger to crossovers, with a very high-profile Sonic the Hedgehog event earlier this year bringing a unique stage to the game.
No stages are coming this time around, but there are a bunch of great skins and other cosmetics. Shown off in the trailer were three skins. The first is based on the iconic golden Dalek design from the modern iteration of the show. The other two are both different versions of The Doctor themselves. Both Tom Baker’s fourth Doctor and Jodie Whittaker’s thirteenth Doctor will be available during this event.
On top of that, you can get some unique banners for your in-game nameplate. Similarly to the skins, you can get one featuring the Dalek’s golden shell, the fourth Doctor’s colorful scarf, and the thirteenth Doctor’s crystalline TARDIS console.
That may not be all, as a few leaks on Twitter are showing that a skin based on David Tennant’s tenth Doctor may be in this event as well. It wasn’t shown off in the trailer, so it may not be released for any number of reasons, but leaks have shown it exists in the game.
Either way the event, officially dubbed “TARDIS Treats” will be running from Tuesday, November 1 to Saturday, November 5. If you’re after these skins, then you’re going to want to get them during this window, as they may never return to the store once the event is over. There is no word yet on how much these will cost, or whether they will be unlockable through in-game challenges.
