The Atlanta Falcons haven’t won a game in over a month, but they must turn things around against a good Minnesota Vikings team on the road in Week 14. Kirk Cousins is set to return to Minneapolis for the first time since departing over the offseason.
Cousins has struggled during the Falcons’ three-game losing streak and needs a bounce-back effort to hold off the calls for Michael Penix Jr. Sunday’s game at U.S. Bank Stadium starts at 1 p.m. ET. Check out our Falcons Wire Week 14 staff predictions below:
Crissy Froyd (5-6):
Atlanta has a tough task ahead and must overcome some major issues offensively — mainly with Kirk Cousins’ recent interception woes. The Vikings are 10-2 for a reason and have shown an uncanny ability to come out on the right side of close games. This won’t be a great homecoming for Cousins against his former team. | Vikings 30, Falcons 14.
Deen Worley (6-5):
While the Falcons are in a dire situation to get their season back on track, Kirk Cousins is probably in a worse situation and needs a showing to showcase why he should remain the starter. Cousins got benched last week and could use that to fuel a performance against his former team. If he can’t get the job done this week, I feel there will be a change. | Vikings 24, Falcons 20.
Matt Urben (6-5):
The Vikings are doing well without Kirk Cousins but I don’t think they’re unbeatable. I like the Falcons to bounce back in Week 14 with an upset win over Minnesota. I think Cousins will outplay Sam Darnold in the fourth quarter and help the Falcons end a three-game losing streak. | Falcons 28, Vikings 27.
