The Falcons saw Demarco Hellams and Bralen Trice exit the game early with injuries. Neither player returned but Hellams’ injury appeared to be more serious. There has been no official update as of Monday afternoon.
Ultimately, the decision to sit key starters allowed fans to watch players who likely won’t see much playing time this season. Rookies like Michael Penix and Casey Washington impressed in their debut.
