The Atlanta Falcons suffered two potentially serious injuries in the first half of Friday’s preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. Rookie linebacker Bralen Trice had to be helped off the field in the second quarter after what appeared to be a leg injury.
Trice went into the injury tent shortly before halftime. Safety DeMarcco Hellams suffered a lower leg injury in the first quarter and had to be carted off the field. It’s been a rough day thus far for the Falcons. There has been no official update from the team but neither injury looked good.
This has been an absolutely brutal turn of events for the Falcons in the last couple days.
Rondale Moore placed on IR after knee injury in joint practice.

Trice was selected by Atlanta in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft. While he wasn’t listed as a starter on the team’s initial depth chart, the rookie was expected to contribute in a rotational role this season.
This all comes one day after the Falcons placed wide receiver Rondale Moore on the injured reserve list. Moore, who was acquired by Atlanta in a trade for Desmond Ridder, suffered a knee injury during Wednesday’s joint practice in Miami.
The Dolphins hold a 17-10 halftime lead over the Falcons in Friday’s preseason matchup. Check back for injury updates after the game.
