It had been a quiet week since the Atlanta Falcons fired head coach Arthur Smith on Monday, but that changed on Thursday morning. The team has reportedly requested a handful of interviews for its coaching vacancy.
The latest name added to the list is Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Thursday. Morris was Atlanta’s interim coach back in 2020 when the team fired Dan Quinn.
Despite getting some consideration for the head coach vacancy three years ago, the team ultimately went with Arthur Smith.

Morris landed on his feet, taking a job as the Rams defensive coordinator under head coach Sean McVay. Los Angeles won the Super Bowl during his first year with the Rams. Morris is a hot name once again after the incredible job he did with the Rams’ young defense this season.
