The Atlanta Falcons are ramping up practice on Thursday in preparation for their Week 2 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. After a forgettable Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team has much to correct before Monday night’s prime-time matchup in Philadelphia.
Head coach Raheem Morris told reporters that linebacker Nate Landman would not practice on Thursday. Landman, who earned the team’s highest Pro Football Focus grade against the Steelers, was limited two days last week due to a quadriceps injury.
Morris said Landman is dealing with a “similar” issue, per team reporter Terrin Waack.
Falcons head coach Raheem Morris: Inside linebacker Nate Landman will not practice today.
Was asked whether it's the same quad issue he has been dealing with: "It's similar." Waiting for a full report, though.

The Falcons played Landman and Troy Andersen a similar number of snaps in Week 1, with Landman getting the slight edge. Andersen is still listed as the starting inside linebacker next to Kaden Elliss on the team’s Week 2 depth chart.
Check back for the full injury report following Thursday’s practice.
