The Atlanta Falcons have elevated wide receiver Chris Blair and defensive back Kevin King from the practice squad for this Sunday’s season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Blair was the team’s most productive receiver in the preseason but was released at the 53-man roster deadline.
King recorded an interception in Atlanta’s preseason opener and was among the team’s most surprising roster cuts. Since the Falcons ruled out cornerback Antonio Hamilton with a groin injury, King’s elevation was a logical solution. Blair also makes sense due to the team keeping just five wide receivers on the roster.

The Falcons still have an open roster spot, however, it’s unlikely we see them make a move before Sunday’s matchup. The Steelers have listed starting quarterback Russell Wilson as questionable for Week 1, but the veteran made the trip to Atlanta with his team on Saturday.
If Wilson can’t play, former Falcons head coach and current Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith will look to Justin Fields on Sunday. Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin previously warned Raheem Morris to be ready for a Fields package, which now seems like a sure bet.
Sunday’s game starts at 1:00 p.m. ET inside Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Week 1 game info is listed below:
