Before he was drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, offensive lineman Peter Skoronski made the rounds with pre-draft visits.
One of his stops was with the Atlanta Falcons, where he spoke with head coach Arthur Smith, the Titans’ former offensive coordinator.
During the meeting, Smith told Skoronski that his answers were “really boring me right now,” while also adding “your answers are so boring,” Tennessee’s new lineman told Dan Pompei of The Athletic.
“The head coach was on me the second I got in there,” Skoronski said of Smith. “I was giving them generic answers to their questions, and he said, ‘You’re really boring me right now. Your answers are so boring.'”
“The whole meeting, he kept looking at his computer,” he added. “I was kind of laughing to myself and said, ‘Sorry, I don’t know what you want me to do. I’m answering you honestly.’”
When asked about his meeting with Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, Skoronski said, “I liked his energy.”
The Falcons opted to take running back Bijan Robinson with their No. 8 selection. Meanwhile, the Titans will hope Skoronski provides a long-term solution along the offensive line, whether that be at tackle or guard.
