Dozens of paedophiles who subjected children across Merseyside to horrendous abuse have been brought before the courts in recent months.
Our region has seen a number of shocking cases, including a couple who subjected a girl to a horrendous campaign of rape and a woman who tried to profit financially from the sexual abuse of a child. However, thanks to the bravery of the people who were targeted, many of these people have now been forced to face justice and many face long periods behind bars.
Nevertheless, their crimes continue to have far reaching impacts for victims and have left the wider public across the region shocked and disgusted.
