Face of man police want to trace after Baltic Triangle assault

Merseyside police have released an image of a man they'd like to speak to after an assault in Liverpool.

Officers were called to Kitchen Street, in the Baltic Triangle, to reports that a man had been attacked at around 1.50am on Saturday, March 5. The victim of the assault was taken to hospital with injuries to his face.

Police said the 26-year-old man was attacked by another man at the venue, when it was busy with customers. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing and anyone who has any information is asked to contact police.

Detectives say the venue was busy at the time and there would have been witnesses to the assault. Anyone who recognises the man pictured is also being asked to speak to police.

Detective Inspector Ben Dyer said: "We think the man pictured may have vital information to help our enquiries so if you know him, please come forward. If you recognise him or were at Kitchen Street at the time of the attack and may have seen what happened please do let us know.

"The assault happened during the early hours of the morning when people may have been leaving bars, venues and nightclubs in the area. If you were at the Baltic Triangle at around 1.50am and witnessed the incident or anything suspicious and have captured images of those involved on Saturday morning please contact police as a matter of urgency."
