Fabio Vieira drops Arsenal team news hint before Sevilla clash as midfielder eyes injury return

Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira may have dropped a huge team news hint ahead of the Gunners' clash with Sevilla on Saturday. The Spanish side make the trip to London for the Emirates Cup Final, a match that will also be the home side's last friendly before the real action begins on the following Friday.

Mikel Arteta's men have been one of the standout sides in preparation to the season ahead, with new signings and results gathering excitement. The Gunners have won five out of their six friendlies so far, with the only defeat being a heavily rotated side in a game behind closed doors against Brentford.

However, despite the excitement, the Spaniard has been quick to remind everyone that it is only pre-season. With just one week until the Premier League begins with a trip to Crystal Palace, the side will still be hoping to end it off on a high.

Fans in attendance at the Emirates will likely see a host of new faces as their team takes to the turf for the first time in a few months. One particular player they could see is Fabio Vieira, who has dropped a hint over his availability for the match on Saturday against Sevilla.

The 22-year-old joined from Porto in a deal worth roughly £30million, but he is currently an unknown entity to some degree within the Arsenal side. The Portuguese midfielder has also missed some of pre-season with an injury, which Arteta provided an update on: "Fabio probably a little bit longer.

"I think he needs another week or so before he starts with the team, but he's been working hard, and he's been really unlucky to start his Arsenal career in this way, but again he's fitting in well." However, it appears as though Vieira has made a quick return to training.

Taking to Instagram, the midfielder posted a story of himself in training, simply captioned with an eyeball and football emoji. It could hint at his involvement in the match against Sevilla on Saturday.

While that may be the case, it still remains to be seen whether he will be fully available or not as he is eased back into contention once again.
