Fabio Vieira has informed Arsenal fans that he will be fit to join up with the squad for pre-season “very soon” despite injury fears for the new signing.
A social media image of the Portuguese midfielder circulated on Friday showing Vieira wearing a protective boot on his left foot.
However, the player insists that the move was just a precaution ahead of his first day at work with the Gunners.
“Relax guys... it’s just a precaution!” he posted on Instagram.
“I’m all okay and will be joining the Arsenal team for pre-season very soon.”
Arsenal started their pre-season schedule in recent days and are set to jet off to the German locale of Herzogenaurach for a clash with Nurnberg at the headquarters of sponsors Adidas on Friday.
Everton, Orlando City and Chelsea will be the team’s opponents on a tour of the United States before they return to face Sevilla in the Emirates Cup.
