  • The McLaren driver, who claimed his first world title last year, has already been working with the museum’s studio team on the waxwork.
  • Norris admitted getting his own waxwork was “pretty surreal”, and described it as a “big honour”.
  • Fellow Brit and seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton already has a waxwork at Madame Tussauds.
  • Norris’ F1 title defence suffered a setback last weekend when he was forced to retire from the Chinese Grand Prix shortly before the race was due to start after an electrical issue.
