Max Verstappen took a big leap towards the 2022 F1 Drivers’ Championship title after Charles Leclerc crashed out of the French Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton followed through in second place after a good start saw him jump Sergio Perez, who could only finish fourth having lost a late battle against George Russell.
Carlos Sainz started from near the back due to engine penalties yet fought through the field well, only to have a five-second penalty for an unsafe pit release scupper his chances of a podium.
Fernando Alonso and Lando Norris also took good hauls as Esteban Ocon, Daniel Ricciardo and Lance Stroll completed the top ten.
