On January 3, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, detailed the finer points of “Operation Absolute Resolve” to the press and public live from Mar-a-Lago. But Donald Trump, standing on the side, appeared to be conducting a private operation of his own. Something along the lines of “Operation Get Some Z’s.”
