With Colorado treading water in the midst of a three-game losing streak, a face from the Buffaloes’ recent past has emerged to poke fun at the team.
Arizona defensive lineman Taylor Upshaw—a graduate student who spent time with the Colorado program in the spring before joining the Wildcats—shared some choice words for Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders on his Instagram story Thursday.
“Get Your Mind Right little boy @shedeursanders,” Upshaw wrote, accompanied by vintage footage of Hall of Fame boxer Mike Tyson.
Upshaw, who played for Michigan from 2019-22, originally transferred to Colorado; he re-entered the transfer portal mere months later and signed with Arizona. With the Wildcats, Upshaw has thrived, recording 7 1/2 sacks and 8 1/2 tackles for loss in nine games.
Looks like it’s still personal for Taylor Upshaw. He posted this on his Instagram story earlier today 👀 https://t.co/rJfNyADKqI pic.twitter.com/txyPHcrocm

Arizona (6-3, 4-2 Pac-12), ranked No. 21 in this week’s College Football Playoff standings, visits the Buffaloes (4-5, 1-5) on Saturday afternoon with kickoff at Folsom Field scheduled for 2 p.m. ET. The broadcast is on Pac-12 Network.
Colorado is mired in a protracted funk, having blown a 29-point lead against Stanford and suffered losses to ranked UCLA and Oregon State teams over the past month.
