Ex-SBI treasury branch manager booked for Rs 1.89 crore fraud

PANAJI: The Crime Branch of Goa Police booked former State Bank of India (SBI) treasury branch, Panaji, bank manager Rakesh Kumar for allegedly siphoning off funds from the bank to the tune of Rs1.89 crore.

The branch has registered a first information report (FIR) under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including section 409 (criminal breach of trust by a public servant) and under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
