Josh Windass was the Sheffield Wednesday hero as his stunning low drive handed his side a major boost in their bid to reach the English Championship.
The former Rangers man latched on to a flick on after a long kick from his own goalkeeper to superbly fire across Matt Macey into the bottom right hand corner. The early strike proved to be the only goal at Fratton Park as the Owls picked up a huge three points on the road at Portsmouth to maintain top spot in English League One as the business end of the fixture list takes centre stage.
The one time Light Blues forward was clearly buzzing with his strike as he took to Instagram to share a number of celebration snaps with the caption: "All aboard the Windass bus" alongside an emoji of an Owl.

On the result, boss Darren Moore told the Sheffield Wednesday website : “The lads showed character today and we needed to, this is a former stomping ground of mine so I know this club and what the fans can generate.
“There were 18,000+ in here today, so the atmosphere was there. The boys were competitive and you have to deal with the crowd as well and I thought they did that.
“It’s a good experience for the group, there’s a togetherness between them and they have a good bond. They are getting through their work and it’s a well-earned three points.
“I told them that I’m proud of their performance in terms of their mentality and character today, and we’ll dust ourselves down ready to go again.”
