Ex-cop tells Sheku Bayoh inquiry she ran after being 'overwhelmed by terror'

An ex-cop has told the inquiry into the death of Sheku Bayoh that she was "overwhelmed by terror" and ran before falling to the ground following a blow to the head when attending the scene.

Nicole Short said she felt "fearful" and "scared" when she arrived at the scene in Kickaldy, Fife on May 3 2015.

An inquiry into the circumstances of Mr Bayoh's death, and whether race was a factor, is taking place in Edinburgh.
