Paul Hartley has been sacked by Hartlepool United after a disastrous run of results that have left the club sitting second bottom of League Two.
Pools have gone on a run of nine games without a win this season, and have taken just one victory from their last 20, stretching into last season.
Hartley, who is from Hamilton and played for several clubs including Accies and Hearts, replaced Graeme Lee, who was sacked before the final game of last season.
But with five defeats and four draws in the league, Hartley's reign has come to an end, with his last game in charge being a 2-0 defeat away to Sutton United.
Former Motherwell youth coach Gordon Young departs the club with Hartley.
Hartlepool now head into a Papa John's Trophy tie against League One side Morecambe on Tuesday without a caretaker boss having been announced, though Anthony Sweeney is expected to take over.
Chairman Raj Singh had targeted a play-off push for this season.
