Josh Johnson’s journeyman career continues.
The 37-year-old quarterback agreed to sign with the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, according to multiple reports. Signed to provide depth behind Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley, Johnson is now set to have a third stint in Baltimore after spending time with the team in 2016 and again in 2021.
Johnson signed with the Broncos last March and competed for the backup quarterback job with Brett Rypien at training camp. Rypien ultimately won the QB2 job and Johnson started the 2022 season on Denver’s practice squad.
The San Francisco 49ers signed Johnson off the Broncos practice squad last December. Johnson was called up to the game-day roster and replaced an injured Brock Purdy in the NFC title game last season before leaving the game himself with a concussion.
Johnson will now get an opportunity to continue his career with the Ravens. He has spent time with a record 14 NFL teams since 2008.
