Everything you need to know about Glasgow Pride as it returns for 2024

Glasgow Pride is returning for another year, seeing the city's vibrant LGBT+ community come together to celebrate the progress made towards equality.

Boasting an event that is "bigger, brighter and better than ever", the organisers are hoping to follow on from the success of last year's march which saw some 50,000 people take to the streets.

If you're looking to join in on the event or are simply curious to see what is happening this weekend, here is everything you need to know.

When is Glasgow Pride 2024 taking place?

Glasgow Pride will take place on Saturday, July 20 with the march setting off from Festival Park at around noon.

The line-up for the march will commence at 10am with the community section opening at 11.15am.

Speeches will take place from 11.30am before attendees make their way through the city.

Is Glasgow Pride ticketed and how much does it cost?

The march is not ticketed with individuals attending able to do so for free.

What is the line-up for Pride 2024 in Glasgow?

This year's Pride line-up at Glasgow's Barrowlands will include the following stars and acts:

  • Bev Lyons
  • Aiesha Hunter
  • Ann Phetamine
  • Miss Bella Houston
  • Chenara
  • Just The Brave
  • Florenza Cocozza
  • Jasmin Jet
  • Jamie Lee Morley
  • Girls R Loud

The Pride Hub/festival will also include a community stage featuring Darren Glasgow, Bella Houston, Lola Fierce, Demi Mcmahon, Violet Duff and Emma Lynne Harley.

There will also be over 130 retailers, food vendors and engaging family activities.

What is the marching route for Glasgow Pride?

The Pride march in Glasgow will start at Festival Park in the Southside of the city before moving up Govan Road. 

The march will then travel over the Clyde River via the Clyde Arch bridge before making its way along Anderston Quay.

Marchers will then make their way along Brown Street, Argyle Street and Queen Street before going past George Square.

Finishing the route, the attendees will march along Trongate and Greendyke before ending in Glasgow Green.
