Everything we know after teenager was fatally injured in the city centre

An 18-year-old man was fatally injured after reports of an assault in Liverpool City Centre.

London Road remains at the centre of a murder investigation after police and paramedics were called at around 5.50pm on Saturday, April 16 after reports of an assault at an internet café. The 18-year-old victim was taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On that afternoon, a large police cordon was in place surrounding the square as over a dozen police cars and vans were seen parked nearby. Forensics officers were pictured working within the cordon, taking photographs.
