Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted he 'didn't initially buy into' the celebrations at the end of last season and hosting a parade after the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
The Reds were defeated 1-0 by the La Liga champions in Paris back in May, but returned to Merseyside to a heroes welcome as they paraded the FA Cup and Carabao Cup around the city. It wasn't the end to the season the club would have hoped, but the scenes during the parade put to bed any doubt over whether it was the right thing to do.
At least that's the thoughts of Alexander-Arnold, who admitted the players struggled to buy into the idea at first.
