Families 'ran to safety' after a mass brawl erupted in a restaurant during a Mother's Day meal. The incident occurred at the Istanbul Grill in Culcheth, Warrington, at around 6.30pm on Sunday, March 27.
Onlookers witnessed arguing, shouting and swearing before people started throwing and smashing glasses. A large police presence arrived at the Turkish restaurant, but most of the people involved in the brawl had already fled, reports the Manchester Evening News.
A pregnant woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said a large party had started fighting with the waiters before glasses started being thrown and smashed. She said: "There was a large group of about 20 or 30 in the restaurant when a fight broke out.
