Every Tottenham player who could be at the 2022 Qatar World Cup with draw set to take place

Whilst Tottenham Hotspur will be busy preparing for their upcoming clash with Newcastle United, Antonio Conte will likely allow the squad some time to tune into the upcoming draw for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The draw takes place in Doha on Friday evening and it goes without saying that a number of the current squad in north London will be anxious to be on the plane this winter.

A huge number of the current squad have participated in qualifying and whilst the full contingent of nations is not quite yet known, the likelihood of having a number of Spurs players at the tournament itself is quite high. Experienced campaigners such as Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris are almost certainly set to appear at the tournament, the former closing in on Wayne Rooney’s England goalscoring record.

Meanwhile, other key players such as Cristian Romero and Son Heung-Min are also highly likely to be partaking with Argentina and South Korea respectively. The pair will hope to be joined by the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who himself has all-but secured himself a place in the Denmark squad.

Also likely to travel are Rodrigo Bentancur and Steven Bergwijn, the pair both playing a part for their nations over the past 12 months in qualifying. Elsewhere, defender Emerson Royal will hope to do enough between now and the winter to convince Brazil coach Tite that he is worthy of a place at the tournament.

The Spurs travelling contingent is likely to grow even further though, with some qualifiers still to be played. Ben Davies’ Wales take on either Scotland or Ukraine in a play-off, with the defender certain to be crossing his fingers on a positive result.

There are also a few loan stars that will be hoping to book their tickets to Qatar sooner rather than later. After shining with Villarreal, Giovani Lo Celso will no doubt be aiming to earn a place in Argentina’s squad, whilst Pape Sarr will hope that his form for Metz will be enough to be named in the Senegal squad after they beat Egypt to a place at the tournament.

Take a look at the full list of players who are most likely to be at the tournament below:

Hugo Lloris, Cristian Romero, Ben Davies, Emerson Royal, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Rodrigo Bentancur, Heung-Min Son, Steven Bergwjn, Harry Kane, Giovani Lo Celso, Pape Sarr
