Every dog will have its day at Dumfries rescue centre fun day this weekend

Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre is getting set to hold its first fun day dog show in four years this Sunday.

The Dovecotewells site near Glencaple will open its gates at midday for people and pets to come along and enjoy themselves.

There will be a selection of food and craft stalls, burgers, ice cream, face painting and a bouncy castle with weather permitting.

Pet portraits can be bought with agility courses set up for dogs as well.

There will of course be lots of furry friends in attendance with a full dog show taking place on the day as well.

Some of the categories on the day include handsomest dog, prettiest bitch, best puppy, best rescue and dog most like it’s owner.

The gates open at 12 noon and dog classes start at 1pm with entry costing £1 per person and classes cost £1 per class per dog.

If you attend the day you can take pictures and send them in to us at dgnews@s-un.co.uk.
