Every Championship player being released this summer who Cardiff City and Swansea City could sign

Cardiff City and Swansea City, like most Championship clubs, will be shopping in the bargain aisle this summer.

Neither club are going to have much money to spend on recruiting new players, with loan moves and free agents likely to be the order of the day. Both south Wales clubs have a number of areas within their squads that need addressing. The Bluebirds have been quick off the mark with four new players through the door at Cardiff City Stadium, whereas Swansea are likely to have to ship players out before new ones can arrive.

This time of year sees clubs publish their retained lists for next season; the majority have done so, but four are still pending, including Cardiff, with Huddersfield Town and Nottingham Forest still to face each other in the Championship play-off final this coming Sunday.
