Everton are set to kick-off their summer transfer business, with the start of their summer spending having been delayed for now.
Extra funds are yet to be made available, with owner Farhad Moshiri set to seek extra capital from selling a 25 per cent stake in the club to New York-based MSP Sports Capital. However, the main reason for the delay in business has been the June 30 threshold for Financial Fair Play.
Since that deadline has now been passed, the Toffees can begin with a new slate having endured a tough campaign last season behind the scenes due to the constraints of the Premier League's financial regulation.

At the top of this summer's agenda is a move to bring in a new striker, with Dominic Calvert Lewin having struggled to maintain his fitness and last summer's signing Neal Maupay having failed to live up to potential.
Here is the latest Everton transfer news:
El Bilal Toure bid
Everton are believed to be making progress in a move to sign El Bilal Toure, with the 21-year-old Malian international reported to have been offered a five-year deal.
This is reported by Sacha Tavolieri, who claims that a number of Premier League clubs are in the market to sign the Almeria striker. Having scored six goals in 17 appearances for the La Liga club last season it would be a big outlay, but a potential five-year deal suggests their faith in the striker.
There is no word on whether the offer has been accepted, but it is the most interesting development of the summer so far in what has been a quiet transfer window for the Toffees.

Taremi speaks out about Everton transfer
A player at a different stage of his career to Toure, Porto's Mehdi Taremi has been linked with a move to Everton in recent years, but has ruled out a potential move to Merseyside.
The 30-year-old scored twice against England at the World Cup, adding to his 31 goals for Porto in all competitions. However, he has ruled out a Premier League move, while also revealing his lack of interest in Everton due to playing in the Champions League.
He told Record (via HITC): “At that time, I didn’t imagine that they would get such a good team that would qualify for the Champions League. They were fighting not to go down.
“I thought that staying at FC Porto was better. And we had many games in the Champions League, I couldn’t lose that. Now there is an opportunity, but even now, for example, Everton’s offer doesn’t interest me.”
Gibson set for Championship
Newly promoted Championship side Plymouth are set to move for Everton's Lewis Gibson, with the centre-back having spent last season on loan in League One with Bristol Rovers.
Gibson, 23, who represented England at multiple youth levels, is linked to Plymouth by Football Insider (via Bristol World), who report talks at an 'advanced' stage.
Gibson has spent the past two seasons on loan in League One, having failed to make an impact during his last Championship loan to Reading.
