Everton's exciting next generation of talent as five youngsters stand out

Everton have a proud history of promoting academy talent.

From Wayne Rooney to Leon Osman, the Toffees have often relied on locally trained youngsters to come through and become stars with their first team squad.

And with Sean Dyche looking to lead Everton to success in the years to come, he'll be looking to his academy to help bolster his squad.

So who are Everton's most exciting young players? Here are some of the youngsters earmarked for success.

Tom Cannon enjoyed a successful loan spell with Preston North End in the Championship last season, scoring eight times in 20 appearances. He'll be hoping to catch Dyche's eye this summer.

Meanwhile, Jarrad Branthwaite is likely to become a first team regular for the Toffees after an impressive loan with PSV last season.

Son of former England international Danny Mills, Stanley Mills is one of Everton's brightest young prospects, scoring 10 times in the Premier League 2 last season. The same can be said about Birkenhead-born Lewis Warrington, who was loaned to Fleetwood last season.

Meanwhile, Francis Okoronkwo has been tipped for big things after being promoted to Paul Tait's under-21 squad.

We want to know which of those prospects you are most excited about seeing more of this season. Read about some of the candidates and then cast your vote in the widget below ...
