Everton reveal pre-season plans ahead of preparations for new Premier League season

Everton have announced three first team fixtures as part of the club’s pre-season plans.

The Blues will face Tranmere Rovers, Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City as part of the club’s preparations for next season.

The games follow the announcement of a reunion with Blues legend Duncan Ferguson, who now manages Forest Green Rovers, for the club’s Under-21s side in July.

All of the games announced so far will take place away from home.

Everton’s senior squad will kickstart the run-in to the 2023/24 season with a trip across the Mersey to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, July 22 (kick-off 2pm). That line-up will feature a mix of first team and academy players.

Sean Dyche will then take his team to the University of Bolton Stadium on Tuesday, July 25 (kick-off 7.45pm) for a meeting with the League One outfit. The third match will be at Stoke’s Bet365 stadium on Saturday, July 29 (kick-off 3pm). On Wednesday, the club announced the U21s would travel to Forest Green for a friendly on July 19.

The fixtures are the first to be released by Everton for pre-season, with the new Premier League season kicking off on the weekend of August 12.
