Dominic Calvert-Lewin is absent from an otherwise strong starting line-up named by Frank Lampard as Everton seek their first goal - and first win - of pre-season.
The striker, who has impressed coaches with his early summer work, is not named within the matchday squad for the trip to Blackpool. He started Everton's two friendlies in the USA. The 25-year-old, who suffered an injury-blighted campaign last season, misses out as a "precaution", the club said. Demarai Gray is also unavailable - again, the club said, as a "precaution".
Lampard has named a solid defence with new signing James Tarkowski starting alongside fellow centre-backs Yerry Mina and Ben Godfrey, supported by Nathan Patterson and Vitalii Mykolenko playing as wing-backs.

The formation means Lampard once again reverts to a back five having sampled four at the back against a Minnesota United side that caused Everton endless problems out wide.
Dele Alli has earned a place alongside Abdoulaye Doucoure - who has started each of the Blues' three games this summer - with Tom Davies joining them in the centre of midfield. Anthony Gordon looks set to play off Salomon Rondon going forward, unless Lampard has elected to play four in midfield with Alli adopting one of the wide positions. Gordon played just over an hour in Minnesota.
Allan returns to the bench after injury, while Andre Gomes does not feature in the squad and Seamus Coleman is also absent as he continues his recovery from surgery.

Bench: Crellin, Leban, Holgate, Keane, Allan, Iwobi, Nkounkou, Simms, Warrington, Mills, Price, Dobbin, Welch.
